Of course, my love for horizontal scrolling probably stems from the fact that I almost always have an Excel window or two open.
Not everyone has a need for a second scrolling dimension. Since Microsoft will be integrating the tilt wheel into other mouse products this year—including wired mice—gamers will eventually be able to get their tilts on without worrying about latency or battery weight. At the end of the day, the Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2. While this is late to the game, some key observations that still apply to this mouse, and to other mice as well. The author said this mouse was 45g heavier than his wired version.
Taking out one battery leaves it only 15g heavier. No searching for an interim battery. The only down-side is that most battery chargers are designed to recharge AA batteries in pairs. The MX is the mouse for me. It has good balance not perfect…but good enough. The forward and back buttons are well positioned.
I tried the MS mouse, but the smooth vertical scroll disorients me. I like the tactile feeedback the MX gives. And batteries…no worries. On the mouse front. Anyone use d it? Any imparessions would be welcome. I think I have the Qualcomm smartphone you two are talking about as well.
I wish that MS would have made a wireless mouse just like their intellimouse the non-ergonomic one. Fast response, light, good feel. MS does make very nice hardware. Yup the 5. Users of this mouse are outta luck too because the 4.
Justbrewit needs to shave more. I think you need to read those posts again…. And the obviously more worldy-wise AG was simply asking what the relevance of his point was to this forum — I mean, who cares if Rousterfar has no use for tilt wheel?
Gyration Ultra GT, coolest mouse ever! Design is weird, but its function is out of this world. No need for a surface, air will do just fine! I agree, my MX jitters as the cursor shows. I hate charging it every day. Man does that suck! I will try the new MS mouse, if its battery life is better and the jitters are gone, the MX will go back to logitech. Logitech should fix the noticeably laggy MX Mine is, plus the cursor is jittery on xtrac zoom and func pads.
Wireless mice still need more time to catch up to wired mice. How about a logitech vs. How about a game controller review? How about a keyboard review including the sturdy keyboards of the old days? I like reviews of the common computer accesories. Every computer needs them — why not know which ones are better than others? MS will never get the truly precise, instantaneous, lag-free response while still using standard batteries. I bought one for work, liked it so much I asked for one for Xmas.
And then bought 3 as Xmas presents. You do need a fairly recent OS, 95 and 98 are not supported. Things must be really slow in the tech world if they are reviewing mice. I had the same problem! I switched to the Logitech cordless MX Duo. The mouse charging dock works great too. I found this mouse too big and cumbersome and especially heavy, the weight of the mouse to me is the single most important feature, when I tried it at Compusa a few weeks ago.
You probably would get better life with conventional alkaline batteries in a wireless mouse. Geoff, do the mouse buttons still work without the drivers?
Do you still get the Wireless tab in mouse. I had a Qualcomm phone that did that and it was by far the easiest way to navigate through menus that I have ever seen in a phone. I also use only the Intellimouse Optical at home and at work.
