I'm not configuring the VLAN on the virtual network or on the team. I also thought that should be sufficient, but I'm obviously missing something. I have heard from some of the other people at Intel who believe that the VM can't tell which interface belongs to which virtual network. So there might be a problem with the dual virtual NIC configuration. No difference. I'm not exactly surprised, though. Here is one. As a test, I removed one of the teamed network interfaces from the VMLB team and created a new Hyper-V virtual network external connected to the interface removed from the team.

I haven't seen anything explicitly stating so, and have seen documentation, threads and posts suggesting the opposite. Well, maybe not for the IT4 in particular, but teamed Intel server nics in general. Server Products.

Thanks for your response. In response to BRaif. As far as what NICs you can buy for your existing servers, I do not have any recommendations.

Intel CAN do that. You can team NICs only if the vendors driver supports this. Some do, some do not. As for your specific NICs. Just stating that it is a Broadcom is a bit to generic.

Much akin to "I need to repair my cars battery. It is a Volvo", without specifying a specific model. According to this FAQ on the Broadcom website you can team those as follows:. If you did not yet install the Broadcom drivers, do so now sometime windows will find and use its own drivers, and then functionality will differ. Sign up to join this community.
